Healdsburg Team Play at NCGA, Eagle Springs

The Healdsburg WGC Team took FIRST place at the 53rd PWGA Legacy Team Play Championship at Eagle Springs Golf and Country Club near Friant. The competition was held on Monday and Tuesday, September 12 and 13, 2022 with a total of 32 teams competing. Our team consisted of Georgianne Boissier, Maureen Martin, Julie Jennaro and Kay Robinson. First, the team qualified at the Redwood Area Qualifier at Santa Rosa GCC in June. We were one of the five teams in a field of 12 teams to advance to the Finals. At the Finals, each day of competition our two pairs (Georgianne and Kay, Julie and Matureen) were paired with a twosome from another club. The first day, by chance, we were both paired with the team from Vallejo WGC. We were 14 under the first day and in second place, one stroke behind the clubhouse leaders. On Tuesday, we were paired with the Indian Creek WGC women and posted a score of 8 under. This total of -22 stood out strongly in first place, 6 strokes ahead of 2nd place, LPGA Amateurs of Sacramento. We brought home the "gold" so to speak and our plaque has been mounted in the Pro Shop.
